The Power of Daily Affirmations

Recently, I spoke with a brilliant man who is the Owner of a New Business arriving in Opelika. He spoke to me about the power of Daily Affirmations. There are three perceptions- I, You, and We. He encouraged me every morning or evening before I go to bed (the two most influential times where your mind can receive ideas) to say....(Re: whatever subject....for me I will use my marriage)

I WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL MARRIAGE
YOU WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL MARRIAGE
LAURA WILL HAVE A WONDERFUL MARRIAGE.

And you can use this in any area, EX. I will have a successful business...whatever...

Also, the power of putting the images of what you believe you will become daily in front of you. My husband and I are looking at dedicating a small area in our house to be a "Dream Wall"- for example the pictures (literally) and written expressions of our goals and beliefs of where we are going. There is power in looking at these things daily....and if you have to walk by it every day, it is feeding you with hope and belief of where you are going. It is a key to keep your focus on what your mission is. As a man thinketh, so is he.
Having a clear vision and a strong sense of purpose gives you the discernment to know which actions yield the greatest return on investment for your time, energy and resources.

How You Spend Your Extra Time says a lot about where you are going.

What is the primary difference between the 5% who are wealthy and those who are not? The 95% focus their attention and extra time on entertainment while the 5% look to spend their extra time on education. Evaluate yourself: How much time do you spend on entertainment and how much on education? The imbalance of this equation could be the reason your life isn’t where you want it to be.

What Are You Creating With Your Expectations?

What we expect is what we create. Check out these encouraging videos about how putting the right stuff in creates a life we dream of and the recession isn't a bad thing, but an opportunity thing.

Having Something To Give

Are you someone people look forward to seeing or avoid? I have found that when I am all about me, I become someone people avoid (or maybe don't look forward to see). When we are about others, we open ourselves up to see the people around us and accentuate their value. People with this attitude are the ones others seek out. They believe they have something to give...and they do.

Thoughts

Ideas without action are worthless.

Don't burn your bridges. If you burn your bridges, you better be a darn good swimmer.-Harvey

You must be an outstanding listener in order to motivate and inspire people.

Creativity is not Coloring Inside the Lines

When I was little, I believed a picture was not perfect unless someone colored inside the lines. Also, I would not allow myself to move on to a new picture until I had completely colored the one I was on. My sister, on the other hand, would color spots here and spots there. I used to get so frustrated with her "free coloring"...and me, being the oldest, I would try to teach her the "right way to color" and discourage coloring outside the lines and on multiple pictures.....Well, I was a creativity snuffer...and it is my pleasure to tell you that she turned out to be the marvelous painter. She paints amazing oils and water colors. Her apartment is full of originals that she has done..yet the potential was found in her creativity. So...my point....when you start to be creative and people don't understand...when you have an idea that no one gets...keep believing that maybe there is something to it. You could be far surpassing the naysayers around you.
